The poppy holds up her head catching the sunlight upon her ruffled petals. Many years ago, my daughter wore layers of petticoats. One was glittered with polka dots from a square dance costume purchased at a yard sale. Today, she teaches early HeadStart and celebrated her birthday surrounded by family.
