Autumn
Soft silver grey tendrils snaking meandering
whispering as they reach mountain soil
orange copper red golden rod yellow ruby lipstick reds
coloring the mountians like a patchwork quilt
In the mornings as the magic of the morning approaches, the darkness of the night becomes the silvery color of the morning light.
It started off like vanilla cream then the silver of the rain followed. A glow often occurs as the sun breaks into her zenith. Momentary this morning as it appears thundershowers are expected. Two days of rain followed by a weekend of sunshine. Celebrating one of the most enjoyed fall festivals, Home Craft Days at Mountain Empire Community College. Music, storytelling, food, crafts, antiques, and gatherings from all over. Ellenor has her tenth high school reunion. Local hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, inns, and homes will be filled with folks from all over the country. We'll go to the free concert on Friday night. Make our way to the transportation site to be carried to the mountain top college for only fifty cents to enjoy a festival about life in the mountains.
