A week ago Sunday, the second lily bloomed on the amarylis. During last week, the snow dusted the ground. Ground glitter, the soft white dusting of snow covering everything. Heavy frost followed the next day, the kind that when the sun shines upon the frost it also glitters. Nature is the best kind of glitter.
There is a road in town filled with Christmas lights. I enjoy driving down this road. It reminds me of being in an airplane at night looking down at city lights twinkling below. This year, the lights seem to be more white than the bright reds, greens, and blues. Still, I enjoy the gifts of nature, moments in the mountains.
