Open Studio
How to have an Open Studio
1. Create
Creating is such a joy. I create as part of my life. I am an artist who enjoys what I do.
2. Collaborate
A friend, artist, and neighbor who is a potter, weaver, knitter, and exceptional craftswoman. Fiona Zahnke and I discussed a joint open studio.
3. Clean
Well, this is just work with lots of Christmas music playing in the background.
4. Communicate
Send out lots of emails. Send out reminders the week of the Open House.
Take a few fliers of the invitation to folks.
5. Celebrate
Open the Studio doors. Greet people. Eat home baked cookies and drink apple cider or orange tea.
