Puffins

July 2, a crisp clear cool day on Malachias Island in New Brunswick. We went to see the puffins. Very few of us were on the boat that day. Only 13 are allowed, I believe on the island at one time. It was really incredible to see thousands of puffins. The beaks were learned are only multicolored when they are nesting. We were as close to the puffins as you probably are to your computer screen, well almost that close. We were in a wooden box called a blind. We could life the wooden window up to take pictures. The puffins were everywhere. Amazing animals...
