Happy Earth Day

The trees are covered in their spring green new leaflets. The mountains are bursting each day with new colors of green. Soon, the trees will be thick with leaves and it will be difficult to see the mountains.
Lilies of the valley are opening. These beauties came from the Southwest Virginia Museum plant sale, an annual event here in Big Stone Gap. This year I bought a few to set in the garden just before you step into the studio.

The May apples line the woods. The small white flower had budded under the plant. It is a beautiful spring day here in the mountains. Happy Earth Day to you, I am celebrating by planting seeds and pulling weeds.
