Fused Glass Arrowmont

These are the kilns we used during the fused glass class with Brad Walker last week. There were nine people in the class. If you ever get the opportunity to take a class with Brad Walker, he covers everything from how glass is made to making glass. He is incredible. A really fantastic teacher.

These pieces were fired as low tack. The orange bluegreen piece is mine. The stringers or the lines I actually used a candle to bend the glass. There were sticking straight up before the firing. They came out in a zigzag creative manner.
These are our six inch slump pieces drugin the first firing. Mine in on the top in the middle. The square is glass with the stone adventurine inside it. It really sparkles. The small pieces on the bottom are mine as well, it is a handmade stencil and then frit is sprinkled on the two pieces of three inch glass.
