We visited Heartwood, the Artisan Center in Abingdon, Va. last Friday. It is an absolutely amazing place to visit. Right off the highway, located on the campus of Virginia Highlands Community College.
The artisan work is some of the finest I have seen and such variety. Woodcarving, jewelry, pottery, woven rugs, and so much more.
I admit, I was honored to have my glass jewelry in the cases at Heartwood. It was exciting to go by the case and see them under the lights.
Heartwood has not only art, but a nice restaurant and information on the Crooked Road, the music trail of Virginia. Lots of things for children to touch and play.
Fiona Zahnke and I are scheduled to demonstrate on the evening of July 18.
