Long Walk Home

We walked the trail of the Falls of Little Stoney on Saturday. It was a beautiful day after all the rain we have been having.
The ferns were lush with greeness. The rhododendren were in bloom. Large clusters of soft pink blossoms covered the bushes.
Maggie caught a few fish in her net, let them go as quickly as she caught them.
She is riding on Sam's shoulders in this photo.
It was a long walk back to the car. I thought about long walks home as I walked this path. Home is is really where your heart is?
Where are you from? Is it this place you now reside?
Home for me is the mountains, lush, green, alive with summer.

And summer is the time for farmer's market produce!
A receipe for fresh green beans.
Steam one sweet onion and fresh green beans with fresh sage for about seven minutes.
Take off the eye and let it sit for a bit.
They still have a crunch and are a nice color green.
I sprinkle garlic in the bottom of the pan before I add water.
Add a freshly cut tomato...yum, the best of summer.
