Summer Days

The sunshine seems to call to me these summer days. Yesterday, the early morning rain was caught among the fennel. The plant itself is about eight feet tall. I planted it last year as a host plant for butterflies.
The blueberries are being eaten by the birds. They seem to be much quicker at finding the berries than we are this year. The tomatoes are a nice size green. The herbs and flowers have grown so rapidly with all the rain.
It is such a joy to be able to come outside to cut herbs right from the garden to toss into whatever I am cooking.
Our easy guacomole.
Take one avacado.
Add fresh cilantro.
A tablespoon of Paul Newman's own medium salsa
Fresh lime juice to flavor and to keep from turning brown or add the seed
Mash together and enjoy.
Now when the tomatillos are ready, the receipe will change.
